Walking trail through trees, many of which have been carved with animals and faces by a local artist. Shoal Creek meanders quietly through park. Covered picnic tables, beautiful gazebo.

Company store of former Montevallo Coal Mine displays pictures and artifacts of community of Aldrich, coal mine, prison, stores, churches and post office. Collection teaches history of coal mining in Alabama. Has only coal miner monument in Alabama.
Adding to his famous Rajah Lodge home and gardens, 3-term congressman and coal mine owner William F. Aldrich built elaborately decorated Farrington Hall in 1908 as his personal library, office and recreational area.
