Summerland Bed & Breakfast

Summerland Bed and Breakfast, surrounded by magnolia, pine and oak trees, is located just off quiet County Road 8, and is your perfect get-away destination.

The grounds are resplendent with blooming dogwood, azaleas and camellias in the springtime, and are a haven for area wildlife. Many birds and squirrels, as well as weary travelers, enjoy the tranquility. The shade trees on the back grounds provide a welcome respite from the summer sun, as does the gazebo or swimming pool, flanked by a wooden deck edged by flower beds. This is just the place for a relaxing swim, interesting book, or a quiet moment of introspection.

Guests have their choice of four large rooms, each decorated in a particular theme and having its own TV and bathroom. The Safari and the Georgian rooms open onto the front balcony allowing the traveler a chance to enjoy the evenings in the open air.

The formal parlor (pictured here) offers a chance for relaxation and reading in an out of the way room. An over-stuffed chair and comfortable couch provides a place for those desiring solitude.

Common areas such as the informal den, sunroom, and deck provide a place for those desiring interaction with other guests.

The Georgian Room is decorated in formal Georgian style, boasts a king size rice bed and full brick fireplace.

The Safari Room is reminiscent of the British occupied Africa. Tribal masks, and other artifacts, as well as wildlife pictures decorate this room. Queen size bed.

• Weekly bookings receive two nights free.
• The third night is one half the regular price.

• Prevailing taxes will be added to room tariffs.
• Cancellation: We strictly adhere to a 48-hour cancellation policy due to the number of rooms and high demand.

• The grounds are available for rental for weddings and receptions for up to 150 guests.

Weddings

Summerland Bed & Breakfast is especially suited for outdoor weddings and receptions. The front and back grounds are shaded, with plenty of room for up to 150 guests. A picturesque gazebo is situated to one side of the back yard, where trees and flora enhance the area. An outdoor bathroom is provided for the guests.

Area Attractions

The Georgian style home provides the traveler with a place that is central to all the Alabama coast offers. The white sandy beach is a thought away. Shopping at the Riviera Outlet Mall, or in the many specialty shops in picturesque Foley or historical Fairhope, just down the road. Golf courses, many world class, can be found in the surrounding area, while sport fishing is available in the nearby gulf or adjacent Bon Secour and Magnolia Rivers.
